About Us
MommyCares was born sheerly out of necessity and the inspiration of one woman. Our founder and super-mommy, Ms. Teresa Wright-Johnson discovered one day that virtually everything she was doing had to do with assisting mothers inside and outside of her network. Enjoying motherhood and all things good and bad about being a mother, Teresa found herself helping other mothers with issues regarding child development, locating quality and economical children's activities and events, and coaching mothers about balancing time and life for everyone in the family. She was also frequently advising mothers on ways to generate income by working for themselves, or owning their own businesses. As a mother, she recognized that her job was one of the most challenging, yet most underpaid jobs, and that mothers need advocates and support systems.
The answers to these needs came to her in the form of MommyCare, Inc. As Mommies, we need someone to care for us!! Mrs. Wright-Johnson decided to combine her years of experience as a mommy, and a skilled and certified parent trainer into a service designed exclusively for mommies. She brings to this service, not only training in parenting, but also training in early childhood development and learning, as well as experience with parenting and advocating for Special Needs children. Her skills and training resources include The United Way Smart Start Program, The Georgia Office Of Advocacy, and All About Disabilities. She has worked for Parent To Parent of Georgia, The Georgia State University SCEIS Program, and Youth Matters /DFACS. She created MommyCares to be a helpful listening ear, and a
one-stop shop for comprehensive motherhood resource.
